Building systems for better decisions.

I’m Kanmi Obasa, a builder and performance engineer working at the intersection of data, software, leadership, and institutions.

I build systems that help people understand what is happening, evaluate what could happen next, and act with greater confidence.

Better decisions can build stronger institutions.

Institutions shape daily life, but they often make important decisions using fragmented information, delayed signals, unclear incentives, and systems that hide uncertainty.

My work is focused on improving that process: making reality easier to understand, trade-offs easier to examine, and action easier to evaluate.

The technology may change. The mission does not: Continue finding ways to make a positive impact.

How I work

Start with reality. Preserve trust. Keep refining.

Planning

Understand the goal, the system, and the constraints before treating code as the answer.

Data

Separate what is known from what is assumed. Make the quality of the evidence visible.

Analysis

Find the pattern, investigate the anomaly, and translate technical signals into the language of the decision.

Refinement

Act when confidence is sufficient, measure what happens, and update the model.

Journey

From building websites to building decision systems.

My path has moved through computer science, independent product work, digital performance, reliability, analytics, and institutional projects.

The roles and industries changed. The recurring work did not: understand the system, find what is obstructing the outcome, and build a better way forward.

Current direction

Current focus

I am developing the ideas, systems, and practical foundations behind decision intelligence for institutions—particularly how leaders can receive a trustworthy state-of-affairs view, evaluate options, and remain accountable for the final decision.
